The share of global electricity from renewables rose to a record 30% last year as the growth of wind and solar power continued to far exceed that of fossil fuels.

China’s solar capacity jumped 52.4% in April 2024, compared to April 2023, reaching a big 670 GW.  

China’s wind power capacity hit 460 GW, up 20.6% in April 2024, compared to April 2023. 

US has about 150 GW of solar and 150 GW of wind.

In 2023, clean energy added around $320 billion to the world economy – accounting for 10% of global GDP growth.

The green energy is becoming a powerful force for global economic growth.
